The Origin Story: From Personal Need to Professional Mission
The Foundation
The seed for Kinoko Spaces was planted during my own journey as a homeowner. While renovating for my dog, Kumo, I realized that Singapore’s design landscape had a significant blind spot. I found myself searching for a bridge between sophisticated architecture and the biological realities of living with animals—and it simply didn’t exist.
So, I decided to build it.
I knew I couldn’t be the only one looking for a home that respected both my aesthetic and my dog’s needs. I envisioned a practice where pets weren’t treated as an afterthought or a "feature," but as a primary driver of the design process.
The Kinoko Approach: Design Rooted in Science
What sets us apart is a commitment to behavioral architecture. Our designs are not merely "pretty" interiors; they are informed by animal science and a deep understanding of species-specific behaviors.
