Design, Pets, and Purpose.

Kinoko Spaces wasn’t just an idea. It was a response.

Many homeowners face confusion, overwhelm, and disappointment when renovating.

We know this — not just from client stories but from our personal experiences with our homes.

Miscommunication, poor planning, and a lack of real design thinking turned what should’ve been an exciting milestone into a stressful process full of second-guessing and regret.

And it made us realize something important:

The problem isn’t just poor execution—it’s the lack of empathy and proper planning from the start.

As trained professionals with design and spatial planning backgrounds, we were surprised at how easily things could go wrong, even for someone who “should know better.” That’s when we knew: if we felt this way, how much harder must it be for everyday homeowners navigating their first renovation?

Kinoko Spaces was born from that gap by bringing clarity, not confusion.

To guide, not rush.

To design with people, not just for them.

We’re not here to push trends or overwhelm you with mood boards.

We start with people — how you live, how you move through your space, how your dog naps in sunlit corners, or how your lifestyle needs quiet zones.

We are the design consultants who will step in before the contractors to ensure the vision is solid, aligned with your life, and ready to be built without regret.

We work quietly, intentionally, and closely, blending professional training with lived insight. Our team spans multiple disciplines, from interior design to lifestyle branding to behavioral planning. We don’t need to be loud about it. Our clients feel it in how we listen, design, and deliver.

The name Kinoko—Japanese for “mushroom” is a nod to growth in overlooked places and to designing grounded, resilient, and adaptive spaces. It’s our way of saying beauty doesn’t need to shout to be powerful.

We design:

  • For pet parents who are tired of scratched floors and awkward layouts

  • For families with routines that don’t fit cookie-cutter designs

  • For homeowners who’ve been burned before — and want things done right

If you’ve ever felt dismissed, rushed, or overwhelmed during a renovation, Kinoko Spaces was built for you.

This is more than design.

It’s a return to intentional living.

And we’re just getting started.
